Dispenser Pro-Cleaning

Overview

Why should I have my water dispenser cleaned and sanitized?

Taking care of your water dispenser is as important as taking care of other appliances. Besides dirt, dust, and pollution, water dispensers are exposed to bacteria and germs. As a result, the dispenser's hygiene level and the water's taste may be affected.

Is the Professional Dispenser Cleaning process different or better than what I’ve been doing on my own?

The ReadyRefresh® Professional Cleaning Service provides a thorough cleaning and sanitization of your water dispenser. This service goes beyond what customers can typically do themselves. Our technicians use high-quality cleaners and sanitizers to remove 99.9% of bacteria*.

The process includes:

  • cleaning all external surfaces
  • removing internal components
  • cleaning all water contact surfaces
  • cleaning or replacing the spigots, baffle, and non-spill assembly
  • flushing the dispenser with distilled water
  • setting up a fresh bottle so you can enjoy refreshing and great-tasting water
How often should I have my water dispenser professionally cleaned?

We recommend that you clean and sanitize your dispenser 2-4 times a year.

How do I schedule an appointment?

Simple — just call our Customer Service Center at 1-844-897-8094 to schedule an appointment. Please note that this service is only available in certain areas.

Is there anything I need to do to prepare for the appointment?

Residential customers:

Commercial customers:

  • If you can't be available when the service is scheduled, please inform other associates at your workplace so that they know the ReadyRefresh® team will be coming.
What is the typical length of an appointment?

A Professional Dispenser Cleaning Service appointment generally takes about 30 minutes.

Does the existing bottle in the water dispenser need to be empty?

Your water bottle does not need to be empty, but we do suggest using as much of the water as possible prior to your appointment. When the technician is done with your Professional Dispenser Cleaning Service, they'll replace your existing bottle with a fresh one from your supply.

Is there a separate fee for Professional Dispenser Cleaning Service, and if so, can I pay through my ReadyRefresh® bill?

We offer Professional Cleaning Service for your dispenser for a cost of $94.99 per dispenser. This cost will be added to your bill for the month we did the cleaning. If you want to know more about this service or if there are any deals or discounts, please call our customer service number at 1-844-897-8094.

How do I clean my dispenser? How often should I clean it?

We recommend cleaning your dispenser every six months. You can schedule a ReadyRefresh® Professional Cleaning Service (only available in certain areas) by calling 1-844-897-8094 or watch the videoOpens a Youtube video in new window and follow the below instructions to clean your dispenser yourself:

Before you begin, you'll need the following items:

  • clean rubber gloves
  • paper towels
  • a scrub brush
  • a scrub pad
  • boiling hot water

To clean your dispenser, follow these 10 steps:

  1. Unplug the electrical cord and remove the empty bottle and baffle (if there is one).
  2. Drain any water through the spigot.
  3. Carefully fill the reservoir with boiling hot water and wait 3 minutes. ALWAYS BE CAREFUL NOT TO SPILL BOILING HOT WATER ON YOURSELF!
  4. Use rubber gloves and a scrub brush (never use steel wool or anything abrasive) to clean the reservoir and baffle.
  5. Place the baffle upside down in the reservoir and drain the water through the spigot.
  6. Pour more boiling hot water into the reservoir, then clean the spigots, body, and handles.
  7. Drain all the water through the spigots.
  8. Rinse, dry, and replace the baffle and plastic top. Place a full bottle of water on top.
  9. If you have a hot water dispenser, remove the air from the tank by opening the hot spigot until the water flows freely.
  10. Plug in the unit and allow a few minutes for the water in your dispenser to heat up or cool down.

IMPORTANT: Once water flows freely and air is removed, you can plug your cooler into a grounded receptacle.

Cleaning the Drip Tray: The drip tray catches occasional spills and should be emptied and cleaned monthly. To do so, remove the drip tray, clean it with mild soap and water, then rinse and dry it thoroughly.

Cleaning Tips

You can't get clean water from a dirty dispenser. The best way to maintain the quality of your water is to make sure to clean the dispenser every three to six months.

The Lumina™ Dispenser

What is the difference between the LuminaTM water dispenser and traditional water dispensers?

Everything about the sleek, modern Lumina™ water dispenser is revolutionary. The higher dispensing point makes it more comfortable to use than traditional dispensers. The bottom-load design means quick and easy bottle changes. No heavy lifting!

Lumina™ is the only water dispenser that features the replaceable AquaEase™ Water Cartridge. With the help of this technology, you can always enjoy great-tasting water from a clean dispensing source.

What is AquaEaseTM?

AquaEaseTM is a Water Cartridge system that replaces all internal cold water-contact parts. The used water cartridge is completely removed from the dispenser, and the new one is installed in its place. Once pressurized, the sealed system will prevent air from making contact with the water in the reservoir.

Is the LuminaTM water dispenser available for rent?

No, at this time, LuminaTM is only available for purchase.

Why do I need to replace the AquaEaseTM Water Cartridge?

How often do I need to replace the AquaEaseTM Water Cartridge?

ReadyRefresh® recommends that the AquaEaseTM Water Cartridge be replaced every three months.

Can I rinse/wash AquaEaseTM and reuse it?

Your AquaEaseTM has been designed for one use only and it is not recommended for cleaning or reuse.

What if I don’t replace AquaEaseTM every three months / regularly?

Taking care of your water dispenser is as important as taking care of other appliances. Besides dirt, dust, and pollution, water dispensers are exposed to bacteria and germs. As a result, the dispenser's hygiene level and the water's taste may be affected.

Are all the materials used in the AquaEaseTM safe?

The AquaEaseTM is perfectly safe to use. All materials used in AquaEaseTM are FDA approved for food contact, and it meets BlueTriton Brands strict quality standards for food contact.

Will my ReadyRefresh® Service Representative (delivery person) replace the AquaEaseTM / change a bottle of water for me?

When the dispenser is delivered, your service representative will set it up for you. This includes installing the water filter and loading a new water bottle. Later on, you can change the water and filter by yourself using the instructions under the lid. If you would rather have a professional do it instead, please call customer service to submit your request. Please note there is a fee associated with this service.

How will I know it’s time to change a bottle of water / replace AquaEaseTM?

A small, red indicator light makes it easy to know when to change the bottle or replace the AquaEaseTM Water Cartridge. A solid red light means it’s time to change the bottle of water (it’s nearly empty). A flashing red light means it’s time to change the AquaEaseTM Water Cartridge (occurs every three months).
